The Federation is the biggest goverment in the World as of to date. It has become so, due to the fact it is the most affective group that battles aganist the Mavericks around the world. They have seperate units across the world and many divisions to handle the various crisis that appear. Maverick Hunter H.Q. and the Far East H.Q. are just some of the units that are apart of the Federation as well as many others. Many would-be Hunters try to start groups and divisions under the Federation banner.
Most seperate divisions usually handle the Maverick activities that may in their respected areas, however there are times when the Federation itself will send their personal soldiers to handle "special" cases. Such people would be soldiers such as General Dextron and Commander Jet Blade. The Federation is one group that all Maverick know and many fear.

At the top of the Federation is it's leader, the Supreme Commander. No one except the Supreme Commander's own personal elite are allowed to be near this person. As such, information regarding the Supreme Commander is scarce. However, many rumors about who the Supreme Commander really is abound and are wispered among Hunters and Federation Troops. One such rumor was that the Legendary Hunter, Mega Man X was in fact the Supreme Commander. Howver, this was proven false when he left the Federation to create the X-Team. In any case, it has been generally known that the Supreme Commander holds great power equal to the rank of the position.
